Although I went to catholic school my whole life, I’m not particularly religious. Nonetheless, I love religious imagery, mainly Gothic influence in architecture and graveyards. While driving around soaking in Montreal this summer, I accidentally stumbled upon St. Joseph’s Oratory. It was big, it was ornate and it overlooked the city. After touring the monstrous building, I went to the meditation garden which turned out to be a HUGE pathway through a luscious garden dotted with concrete sculptures depicting the Way of the Cross, aka the Stations of the Cross, aka the story of Jesus death and resurrection.
